About us

CDIA is a multi-donor trust fund managed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). As a project preparation facility, it works with secondary cities in Asia and the Pacific to address gaps in infrastructure development and financing. It supports projects that emphasize poverty reduction, environmental improvement, climate change mitigation or adaptation, and good governance. It can provide cities with a range of international and domestic expertise, including support for project preparation studies and capacity development for high priority infrastructure investments.

CDIA receives funding support from Austria, European Union, France, Germany, Republic of Korea, Rockefeller Foundation, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and Urban Climate Change Resilience Trust Fund. It was established in 2007 by ADB and the German government with the intent of improving the lives of 1.6 billion people in Asia and the Pacific.
